Puerto Rico, 2017
This series, Day 22-29, tells the story of the people and places of Puerto Rico affected by Hurricane Maria, three to four weeks after the storm. It shows the contrasts of the aftermath: the tug-of-war of loss and hope, the improvisations in the absence of electricity, and the beauty among the damage. Shot alongside The Duracell Power Forward initiative, my goal with this series is to illustrate the difficulties Puerto Rico is facing while revealing the spirit of the island through the stories I encountered along the way.
